Cbank: Russian banks’ net profit rises 15% to 314 bln rbl in June
MOSCOW, Jul 25 (PRIME) -- The combined net profit of Russian banks increased by 15% on the month to 314 billion rubles in June, the central bank said in a research note on Tuesday.
The number of banks that had a profit rose to 245 in June from 237 in May.
Russian banks’ retail deposits grew by 2.1% on the month, corporate deposits decreased by 1%, the central bank said.
The corporate loan portfolio of Russian banks rose by 1.3% on the month, and the retail loan portfolio went up by 2.1%, the regulator said.
Mortgage lending growth accelerated to 2.5% in the period from 2.2% in May.
